FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can Non-Consensual Background Checks Be Used for Matters of Employment?

A: A non-consensual background check is not backed by a consumer reporting agency as defined in the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”), and any information contained within a report of this kind has not been collected in whole or in part for the purpose of furnishing consumer reports as defined in the FCRA. You may not use any of this information as a factor in establishing any individual’s eligibility for personal credit, insurance or to assess risk regarding existing consumer credit obligations. You also may not use any of this data or our non-consensual results for any other business transactions including, but not limited to, leasing an apartment. Please see our Terms and Conditions for additional details regarding the use of this specific service.

Q: Why Doesn’t This Website Show Testimonials From Satisfied Clients?

A: By its own nature, reputation curator is an entity that prioritizes discretion above all else. When a new client entrusts us with personal information or corporate branding ailments there is often a negative stigma attached to that information and we are very sensitive to the importance of reaching a point of closure. Our clients become able to move on with their lives and most choose not to dwell in the past. For that reason we are often unable to provide specific references, and even when permitted to speak about a past endeavor we would only do so privately with the express consent of our clients ahead of time.
